Today is a Boogie Down to Jay-Z Black Album kind of day!
These songs make me happy within the first few opening bars.
I am enjoying the moment but also reminded of where I was and what I was doing when I first heard these songs 2003. I remember this was my last year of active duty in the Air Force and I was indeed taking off the uniform and transitioning back to civilian life.
I was scared but it was just the beginning of traveling for work and realizing I would not be in The Sandhills long term. I was just getting started!
