There is a specific kind of silence that only exists at high altitudes, just as the sun is beginning to pull the mist off the valley floor. It’s not a hollow silence; it’s thick with intention. It’s the sound of a ridge "reading" the wind. It’s the sound of you finally being able to hear your own thoughts.
If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been running at a pace that wasn't designed for humans. You’ve been managing empires, leading teams, and holding space for everyone else. But when was the last time someone held space for you?
The Soul of the Valley Reading & Mindfulness Retreat at The Glamping Collective in Trenton, GA, was designed for exactly this reason. We are returning to the ridge for our upcoming retreat dates (TBA), and the invitation is simple: come home to yourself.
A Considered Architecture of Rest
This isn’t your typical wellness retreat. There are no 5 a.m. mandatory juice cleanses or overscheduled "workshops" that feel like corporate seminars in yoga pants. We call this Tactical Luxury. It’s high-level restoration for high-performance individuals.
We’ve curated a four-day experience that moves with the rhythm of the mountain. You arrive with whatever you’re carrying: the stress, the deadlines, the "ache" of the world: and we provide the space to set it down.

Day One: The Welcome Table
The journey begins at the foot of an unhurried ridge. You’ll check into one of our Ultra Luxe Domes: architectural marvels that offer the comfort of a five-star hotel with the soul of the wilderness. Once you’ve settled in, we meet at the long table for The Welcome Table.
Dinner is an intentional act. We serve local Rainbow Trout, filleted tableside: a culinary reminder that some things in life simply shouldn't be rushed. There is no agenda, no performance. Just real conversation under the glow of the lanterns as the valley shifts into the "Blue Hour."
Day Two: The Art of Slowness
Friday is about the "bloom." We start with a continental spread on the porch and a slow-pour of FB Roasters Cowboy Blend. With its notes of cocoa and caramel, it’s the perfect companion for watching the mist swirl over the trees.
Mid-morning, we shift into mindfulness with Taylor Traglia Stephenson of Understory Tea House. This isn't just a tea break; it’s a Japanese Gongfu and mindful matcha session. A few sips, a few breaths, a long pause. That is the entire practice. The rest of your day is an "open schedule." Read a book from our Far From Beale Street Bookshop, take a nap, or simply stare at the trees. All are valid.

Day Three: Movement and Energy
Saturday is when the body gets its turn. We begin with Tai Chi on the lawn: slow forms and slower breath. In the afternoon, Jennifer Kearns of Theta Therapy leads us through a restoration session featuring Reiki, restorative bodywork, and a sound bath that lands like weather. By the time the sun begins to set, you’ll feel ten degrees lighter.
Day Four: The Descent
We close the retreat on the overlook with a guided sunrise meditation. As the valley pulls back its mist like a blanket, we sit with whatever these four days have shifted. Our farewell breakfast features a final, careful pour of FB Roasters Latin American Blend and a promise to carry the quiet of the valley back into the world.

The Coffee and the Canon
At Dale’s Angels Inc., we believe that the right tools make the journey possible. That’s why every morning starts with the analog wellness of a perfect cup. Whether it’s the rugged cocoa tones of the Cowboy Blend or the bright, nutty nuances of the Latin American Blend, these roasts are the heartbeat of our morning ritual.
And because no retreat is complete without a companion for the soul, we suggest pairing your morning cup with a selection from our bookstore. Currently, we’re finding inspiration in Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast and the indigenous perspectives in Lewis and Clark Through Indian Eyes. You can find these and more at our Far From Beale Street Bookshop.
Join Us on the Ridge
We limit these retreats to an intimate group of 12 guests. This ensures that the connection is real and the space remains sacred.
If you feel the pull of the mountain: if you’re ready to answer the call of the valley: we invite you to register for our waitlist for the upcoming retreat dates (TBA).
