Tonight, You’re Home: Arrival Day at Soul of the Valley

At 52 Big Vistas Lane in Rossville, Georgia, just outside Chattanooga, arrival feels less like checking in and more like exhaling. Twelve guests set down their bags, trade names and hometowns, and begin meeting the people they’ll share this mountain pause with. Outside, the layered valley catches the last light. Inside, candles are glowing, coats are being draped over chairs, and the evening is already making a persuasive case for putting your phone somewhere you cannot see it.

Then comes the welcome dinner: slow, warm, and served around a long table while the valley turns dark beyond the porch. Conversation stretches. Plates arrive without hurry. Nobody is asking what comes next, which is a rare luxury, and possibly the most convincing reason to wish you were here. By the time the final candle flickers, the house feels less like a destination than the place you somehow needed to reach. Tonight, you're home.

This is only the first night; the quiet, the conversations, and the days that follow will be shared here all weekend.
