I pray for understanding, and peace. A week started with another murder of a unarmed black man, caught videotaped and we are now in day 6 of violent fiery protests.

In the week prior to his death, being picketed and jeered by maybe the grandparents of these fools protesting the quarantine, Martin Luther King was very clear 

“…it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear?…It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity.” (“The Other America,” 1968).

Does it seem to anyone else we are living in a collective high anxiety stream of verbal abuse? In our 24/7 news cycle, Twitter, Instagram the barrage of trash talking and incinderary language  coming from so-called leaders and other charged to protect us. We have been in a nightmare abusive relationship with our current administration, state, local, law enforcement it seems as if the world is off it’s axis. Never has there been a better time to ask for help by professionals.
