I am watching the striking aging of Forever #POTUS, Barack Obama, and the acceleration during and after his time as President of this country.
Conflicting feelings about the recent passing of my father and the preliminary hearing of his murderer. So much time lost succumbing to fear and resentment and missing getting to know the man that created me.
I am trying to sell his Boat that I just realized name, “Cliff’s Dream”, without knowing the details of his dream. Let alone the details of his boat and the meaning of delayed maintenance on pricing of said boat.
We could have planned trips to West Coast of Africa and he could have went on epic fishing trips. Now I only have regrets having no contact for years. Dealing with anxiety and anger and moving into forgiveness to live the best version of myself not held back by negativity.
G.O.A.T Set To Retire after 2022 US Open that she has won a gazillion times…inspired to do so in part after overhearing this from her daughter Olympia,”This morning, my daughter, Olympia, who turns five this month, and I were on our way to get her a new passport before a trip to Europe. We’re in my car, and she’s holding my phone, using an interactive educational app she likes. This robot voice asks her a question: What do you want to be when you grow up? She doesn’t know I’m listening, but I can hear the answer she whispers into the phone. She says, “I want to be a big sister.” (Vogue September Edition 2022, Essay by Serena Williams.)
I can’t remember a time when there was no Williams sister playing tennis, but she wants to move on to her next iteration of herself and for her family. She’s annoyed that she couldn’t continue to play and expand her family and do all she needed but her 41 year old body is giving her the side eye and is saying take a seat and on to the next.
This is not the end, and just the beginning on her next chapter, and just like the 3000 word essay, she will be the author of it and controlling the narrative. We won’t have to guess nada, she will tell us in her own words.
